We just returned from Kansas City, where Breez made its official debut at the Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) Showcase 2025—and what an incredible few days it was.

Four members of the Breez AI leadership team, CEO Tal Zlotnitsky, COO Steve Henig, CTO Louis Bardov and Senior Board Advisor David Smith were on hand at the AWG Showcase 2025 conference, which took place March 24-26, 2025, in Kansas City, MO.

Breez AI CEO, Tal Zlotnitsky, had the honor of speaking on a panel alongside AWG CIO Shelly Moore and Kraft’s Eric Nelson, discussing how artificial intelligence is transforming the grocery industry. Breez was the main focus of the conversation, and the audience’s response was warm and enthusiastic.

“It was incredibly gratifying to speak with so many AWG members who were genuinely excited about what we’re building together. The energy was real—and we walked away with multiple handshake commitments to deploy Breez after the pilot. It’s clear this partnership is resonating, and we’re just getting started.” — Tal Zlotnitsky, CEO & Founder, Breez AI

After the panel, Tal was invited to do a live demo of Breez AI. We expected a small crowd—but within minutes, more than twenty executives from member chains gathered. What followed was even more energizing: multiple handshake commitments from chains to begin implementing Breez after our initial pilot in AWG-owned stores.

"We are excited to partner with you in making AI an actionable tool for consumers shopping in AWG stores,"  — Dan Funk, AWG President & CEO

Why Breez Resonated

It was deeply gratifying to hear how much our mission resonated with AWG members. They saw in Breez a tool that directly answers the needs of today’s shopper—and tomorrow’s.

With Breez, grocers gain a white-label, AI-powered meal planning and shopping assistant that:

  • Creates personalized meal plans based on family preferences and dietary goals

  • Integrates with loyalty programs to make recommendations smarter

  • Offers one-click grocery ordering with dynamic cart updates

  • Helps shoppers stay on budget with smart savings suggestions

  • Minimizes waste with pantry tracking and optimized quantities

  • Stores recipes and previous purchases to make reordering seamless

  • Builds long-term loyalty by turning meal planning from a chore into a joy

We’re not building another app. We’re building a branded plug-in experience for grocers that blends effortlessly into their existing digital platforms—offering all the power of AI with none of the complexity for the end user.

What’s Next

We’ll begin our initial pilot with AWG-owned stores in early summer, followed by a broader rollout to participating member chains shortly after. Our conversations in Kansas City made one thing clear: AWG’s members are ready for Breez.

We are honored to be partnered with AWG on this journey and grateful for the opportunity to help their members create even stronger, smarter connections with their customers.

Stay tuned—there’s a lot more to come!
